Discount Prices
This guide walks you through setting up Discount Prices in TREX's Marketing Centre - individually or in bulk using the upload template.
Create the Promotion
- Click on Marketing Centre → Promotions → Create New under Discount Price
Setting up a Discount Price instead? Select Staff Discount Price instead of Discount Price when creating the promotion - every step on this page still applies the same way.
- Basic Information:
- Promotion Name: For backend reference. 150 characters max
- Customer Type: All
- Promotion Period (Start): Date and time that the promotion will start.
- Promotion Period (End): Date and time that the promotion will end.
- Click on → Add Products → Choose either the Pick from List or the Bulk Upload method to select the products.
If there are no inputs for the Promotion Period (Start), the promotion will begin +15 mins from the promotion published time. E.g., T + 15mins.
Pick from List
- Search using Product Name, SKU Number, TREX Category or Brand → Select the applicable products or Select All Products → Confirm Products
- Bulk Setting
- Select the applicable products or Select All Products
- Discount Value: Input the discount value. Numerical values only.
- Committed Stock: Select if applicable.
- Max Quantity: Input the dedicated stock quantity for the promotion, if applicable.
- Click on Apply Selected.
For individual products, enter the Discount Price before GST. Check the product's GST Absorption settings in the Products module first.
- Save now, publish later - Click on Save to Draft. When ready to publish, go to the Promotions List, click on Edit then Confirm to publish.
- Publish immediately - Click Confirm to publish right away.

Bulk Upload Template
- Click on the Bulk Upload tab → Download Template
Download Template
- Before filling in the template, delete the rows for products not included in this promotion.
- Fill in the template. Enter either Discounted Price or Discount Value - not both:
- Discounted Price: Input the product's discount price before GST. GST may apply depending on the GST settings configured at product level. Numerical values only, decimals allowed.
Discounted Price - Discount Value: Numerical values only, no symbols or decimals.
Discount Value - Committed Stock: Select if applicable.
- Max Quantity: Input the dedicated stock quantity for the promotion, if applicable.
- Discounted Price: Input the product's discount price before GST. GST may apply depending on the GST settings configured at product level. Numerical values only, decimals allowed.
- Click to upload → Confirm
Click to upload - Review your settings, then either:
- Save now, publish later - Click on Save to Draft, then later Edit → Confirm to publish.
- Publish immediately - Click Confirm.
FAQs
Can I edit a Promotion?
- Status: Draft or Upcoming - Yes, the promotion can be edited directly.
- Status: Ongoing -Can't be edited directly. Duplicate the promotion, make your changes on the copy, and once the duplicate is live, deactivate the original.
Can I change the Start Time?
- Status: Draft or Upcoming - Either delete the current start time or set it to current time + 15 minutes (T+15). The promotion activates at T+15.
- Status: Ongoing - Can't be changed directly. Duplicate the promotion and adjust the Start and End in the Promotion Period on the copy. Once the duplicate is live, deactivate the original.
If I have 2 overlapping promotions for a listing/SKU, which discount will apply?
The system applies whichever results in the lower discount price.
Can I set the Discount Price via the Products module?
No, Discount Price and Staff Price Promotions can only be set via Marketing Centre in TREX, not through the Products module.
