Gift with Purchase (GWP)

This guide walks you through setting up a Gift with Purchase (GWP) promotion via SAP BackOffice — pick the targeting condition that fits, then apply the gift using the same GWP Settings across every scenario.

Create the GWP product in TREX

GWP products are not for sale and will not appear on the iShopChangi storefront. 
  • In TREX, go to Products → Add a Product. Fill in all mandatory fields but pay attention to:
    • Is Free Gift: Select Yes 
    • Retail Price: Enter $0
      Is Free Gift
      Retail Price

Create the Promotion

  • In Okta SSO, click SAP BackOffice → Marketing → Promotion Templates → Click on the binoculars icon → Search

  • Refer to the table below for the right template - copy the template name to search for it.

  • Once found, click + → Create a unique code for the promotion → OK

Basic Promotion Information

  • Schedule: Fill in the Start Date/Time and End Date/Time.
  • Description: Up to 150 characters. E.g., Receive a limited edition GWP A (worth $X) with a min spend of $X from Store A. Promotion ends DD Month YYYY. 
  • Shop: Select your Shop.
  • Promotion Banner: 840 x 560 pixels.

  • Name: Up to 50 characters. E.g., A Gift from Store A.

  • Click Save then go to the Conditions & Actions Tab. 
    Save and Publish

GWP Condition


GWP with purchase from store
  • Click on Shop Total
  • Shop: Select your Shop
  • Price threshold: Include the min. spend condition, if applicable. 
    GWP Criteria - Store Min Spend
Selling via WeChat Mini Program? To limit this promotion to one platform, add the Qualifying by Channel condition (see Available Conditions panel). Select the Channel Type.

GWP with purchase of a product
  • Click on Qualifying Offers
  • Offers: Include the #mp of the product qualifying for the promotion.
GWP Criteria - Set Product Purchase
Selling via WeChat Mini Program? To limit this promotion to one platform, add the Qualifying by Channel condition (see Available Conditions panel). Select the Channel Type.

GWP with purchase from brand 
  • Click on Qualifying categories group
  • Shop: Select your Shop
  • Categories: Input the brands. Select the Staged version.
  • Price threshold: Include the min. spend condition, if applicable.

Selling via WeChat Mini Program? To limit this promotion to one platform, add the Qualifying by Channel condition (see Available Conditions panel). Select the Channel Type.

  • Click on Qualifying categories group
  • Shop: Select your Shop
  • Categories: Input the brands. Select the Staged version.
  • Price threshold: Include the min. spend condition, if applicable.

  • Click on Shop Total
  • Shop: Select your Shop
  • Price threshold: Include the min. spend condition for Tier 1.

  • Click on Shop Total
  • Shop: Select your Shop
  • Price threshold: Include the min. spend condition for Tier 2.

  • Click on the first Shop Total condition
    • Shop: Select your Shop
    • Price threshold: Include the min. spend condition for Tier 1.
  • Click on the second Shop Total condition
    • Shop: Select your Shop
    • Price threshold: Include the max. spend condition for Tier 1.
GWP Criteria - Set Store Purchase Tier 1 (Non-Stack)

GWP Settings

  • Click on Free gift By Offer
  • Free offer: Include the mp# of the GWP.  
    Tagging the GWP
  • Click Save, then the paper aeroplane icon to publish. Confirm the status changes from Unpublished to Published.
